Air Congo Limited is the proud national carrier of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Backed by a dynamic ownership partnership between the DRC government (51%) and Ethiopian Airlines (49%), the airline was founded in 2024 and began operations on December 1, 2024. It primarily operates Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering flights to bustling regional destinations such as Goma, Lubumbashi, and Kisangani, as well as domestic flights connecting the vibrant cities of Kinshasa and Lubumbashi.

Air Congo plays an essential role in the DRC's transportation infrastructure, connecting the country to the world and fostering tourism, investment, and trade. The airline significantly contributes to the economy by creating direct and indirect jobs, supporting tourism, and boosting local businesses. Foreign investment and international trade are encouraged, leading to economic growth and facilitating global commerce and tourism, which in turn increases the country's GDP.

Brief History

Air Congo was established in 2024 and began operations on December 1, 2024, with domestic flights between Kinshasa and Lubumbashi. International flights are planned for the near future, with destinations such as Paris, Brussels, and Johannesburg in development. With the addition of a third aircraft to its fleet, the airline has embarked on further expansion, unveiling plans to begin flights to additional regional and international destinations.
